Jonas Boldt startete als Praktikant bei Bayer Leverkusen, scoutete in Südamerika spätere Weltstars wie Arturo Vidal und wurde zum Sportdirektor. Später übernahm er als Sportvorstand beim HSV eine äußerst komplexe Rolle im deutschen Fußball.
